Build, deploy, operate
From a sentence to production, and kept running, with AI at every step.
PIES Studio is not only where applications are built. It is where they are previewed in real containers, promoted through environments, deployed to your infrastructure, and operated: health, logs, rollback, schedules, and agents that stand watch. The same AI that builds can run the system, as you, on the record.
- 01
Build
Describe it or draw it. PIES AI plans, builds, checks and fixes until it compiles. Every turn leaves a receipt and can be rewound.
- 02
Preview
A real build in a real container, with its own database, sign-in and sample data. What you see is what you ship.
- 03
Deploy
Promote to Test or Production as an action on the environment. Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure, in your account.
- 04
Operate
Health, latency, logs, restart, scale, roll back and schedules from one control panel. Agents stand watch.
- 05
Improve
Agents find defects, file them, fix them and verify. Ask PIES AI to change the running system and it does, on the record.
Build
AI that builds like an engineer, with receipts.
Describe the change, or draw it. PIES AI plans, builds, checks and fixes, and every turn ends with a receipt counted from the application, not from the model's claims.
Three AI modes
Edit automatically, Plan mode that changes nothing, or Ask before edits with an approve or reject card per change.
Build receipt from the app
What was created or updated, counted from the application itself, with the model and tokens used. Anything the AI could not save is listed as not applied.
Rewind any turn
Every turn takes a snapshot first. A turn that went wrong is undone with one click.
PIE Loop
A large request is split into units of work, built, then build errors are read and fixed until the application compiles.
PROBLEMS and Analyse & Fix
Failures grouped by database, interfaces, events and functions with the object named. Hand one to the AI and the fix lands as an ordinary, rewindable change.
Builds survive the browser
A build is a background job. Close the laptop; it finishes. An interrupted turn resumes with Continue.
Preview
Real containers, not simulations.
Build compiles the database, back end and front end with a live log, then runs the application with its own database, sign-in and generated sample data. Previews are capped per container and admitted by capacity, so one heavy preview never degrades another.
- Live build log and PROBLEMS tab
- Diagnostic overlay inside the running preview: definition, code, data, render
- Shared dependency cache so new previews start fast
Deploy
Environments you promote through. Targets you already run.
Publish changes to a deployment, confirm, and watch the update steps run. The previous version keeps serving until the new one passes its post-deploy self-check.
Preview, Test, Production
Each environment has its own deploy target, variables, email server and sign-in. Promotion is a redeploy, not a rewrite.
Docker and Kubernetes
On infrastructure you control. Kubernetes 1.26 and later for production clusters.
AWS and Azure
Credentials connected once under Integrations and reused by every application, inside your own account and network.
Publishing keeps your data
Changing the data model and publishing never deletes data or reloads sample rows. Removed tables stay and are listed under "Your data was kept".
Open as administrator
Sign into a running application without its administrator password, from the deployment.
Branded transactional email
Deployments, invitations and password resets use one layout with your logo.
Operate
One control panel per deployment.
Everything an operator needs for a running application, in Studio, with the activity log recording who did what. Cross-app Operate views list every deployment, preview and task.
Service health and latency
Each service of the deployment, its state and response time, at a glance.
Live endpoints and version
The URL people use, the version that is serving, and an amber "Serving previous version" badge if a publish failed.
Logs and container stats
Container logs and CPU and memory per service without leaving Studio.
Restart, scale, redeploy, tear down
The actions operators actually need, with the activity log recording who did what.
Roll back
Redeploy any earlier version from the list. Rollback is a normal, reversible action.
Start and stop schedules
Business hours per deployment. Checked every minute, retried on failure, written to the activity log. Pay for hosting only when the app is needed.
Operate with AI
Ask for it. Approve it. It is done, and logged.
"Deploy the latest version to Production and tell me when it is healthy." "Why did last night's build fail? Fix it." "Watch Production and brief the morning shift." These are operations, not builds, and PIES AI and its agents do them inside your permissions.
One PIES AI across every surface
The Studio assistant and the in-app assistant share one toolset. Ask it to deploy, explain a failed build, read a log or post an agent, and it acts as you, with your permissions.
Agents posted on environments
A post stands watch on Production: on a schedule, on a webhook, or on app events such as deploy failed, build failed and bug reported.
Fixer and Self-improvement playbooks
Stock playbooks that audit a built application, file findings, fix and verify each one, and leave guards that the next run re-probes first.
Operations grants
Hand over who runs an application in one act. Operators read it without a build seat; approvals route to the people who run it.
Activity feed
Everything running and waiting on you in one place: Needs you, Running, Today, Failed, Everything.
On the record
Every AI operation, agent step and deployment action lands in the audit and activity logs with who, what and when.
Improve
Agents that find, fix and verify.
The Self-improvement loop audits a built application, files its findings, fixes and verifies each one, and leaves guards the next run re-probes first. A Fixer playbook does the same for one reported problem. Supervised or autonomous, within budget, and every decision in the Decisions log.
How agents work →Record
Operations you can audit.
Deployment actions, schedules, agent runs and AI operations all land in the activity log and the hash-chained audit log with user, time and outcome. Restore any application change from its entry.
The audit log →Questions operators ask
Can our operations team run an app without being developers?
Yes. Operations grants give them the deployment control panel, logs, restart, scale, rollback and schedules, and route agent approvals to them, without a build seat.
What happens when a deploy fails?
The previous version keeps serving and the deployment shows an amber "Serving previous version" badge. An agent posted on the deploy failed event can investigate and propose a fix for approval.
Can we ask PIES AI to do operations work?
Yes. The same assistant that builds can deploy, read logs, explain a failure and post agents. It runs as the calling user, so it can only do what you can do, and everything is logged.
Do agents keep running when the browser is closed?
Yes. Agents are posted to an environment and run on the server on their trigger. Builds also run as background jobs.
Can we roll back?
Yes. Every version is kept and any earlier one can be redeployed from the control panel. AI build turns can be rewound individually in Studio.
Where does it run?
Docker or Kubernetes on your servers, or AWS and Azure in your own account. PIES Studio itself is self-hosted and air-gap capable.
